Geely-Linked Qianli Technology Says Its Driver Assistance Is Now in 1 Million Cars

Chairman Yin Qi told a Chongqing AI conference that the Qianli Haohan system reached the mark in 18 months across 16 models, with 93.9% of buyers activating it.

WHY IT MATTERS

Qianli's next growth phase rests on cheaper Geely Galaxy models and a Volvo program due in the first half of 2027, a test of its reach beyond Geely.

Qianli Technology, the Chongqing company chaired by Yin Qi, says its Qianli Haohan driver-assistance system has been fitted to more than 1 million cars. Yin presented the figure on October 22 at the Chongqing General Artificial Intelligence Conference, where Qianli released what it called the results of its "2.0 stage" in technology, scale and system, Securities Times and National Business Daily reported.

Qianli Haohan has been installed in more than 1 million vehicles across 16 models, with an activation rate of 93.9%. The system has carried out more than 8.9 million active hazard avoidances, including more than 2.4 million automatic emergency braking events, the company said. National Business Daily reported that reaching that scale took 18 months.

The numbers come from the company and have not been independently audited. They matter because Qianli has turned itself into a supplier of driving software and AI to Geely and other brands. Its pitch rests on volume: the more cars running its software, the more road data it collects to train the next version.

Yin Qi casts smart cars as the first home for physical AI

In a speech titled "Building a Global High Ground for Physical AI Through Vehicle Intelligence" (以汽车智能化打造物理AI全球高地), Yin argued that AI is moving from the digital world into the physical one, and that smart cars will be the core carrier for that shift and the field where China’s industrial strengths are most concentrated. He said physical AI is one of the biggest opportunities for Chinese industry, New Express reported.

Qianli’s technology claims center on two models. It built a foundation model for driving with AI developer StepFun, and says its in-house WA-JEPA "world-action" model, which predicts how a driving scene will change in response to the car’s actions, achieved leading results on the NAVSIM-v2 open-loop benchmark and in 436 closed-loop scenarios on HUGSIM. Those results are self-reported. National Business Daily said Qianli also reported more than 500 million kilometers of simulation mileage and more than 3 million kilometers of real-road testing, and that it treats a measure it calls model-content ratio, roughly how much of the system runs on learned models, as its main internal target.

Its in-car assistant, Super Eva, built with Geely and StepFun, has been installed in more than 500,000 vehicles, Securities Times reported. Qianli said a personal-assistant product linking phones and cars will go into vehicles in the first quarter of 2027.

The system is moving from premium models to mass-market Geelys

According to National Business Daily, the first phase of Qianli Haohan’s rollout validated the system in premium models such as the Zeekr 9X, Zeekr 8X and Lynk & Co 07-GT. The second phase brings it to Geely cars priced between RMB100,000 and RMB200,000. Yicai named two new Geely Galaxy models, the Galaxy TT and the Galaxy Battleship 700, with limited-time starting prices of RMB129,900 and RMB169,800.

Qianli cited third-party data from car platform Yiche showing that, among outside suppliers, its system held 40.8% of the market for city navigation assistance in cars priced above RMB400,000 in the first half of 2026, Yicai and National Business Daily reported. That ranking excludes systems carmakers develop themselves. The company also said Qianli Haohan received European UN R171 certification in March, which it described as the first such approval for a Chinese driver-assistance system.

Volvo is the test beyond Geely

The financial picture is improving from a low base. In the first half of 2026, Qianli’s revenue rose 22.36% to RMB5.12 billion and net profit attributable to shareholders rose 151.25% to RMB78.32 million, Xinhua reported in August. The company reported a net loss of RMB321 million on revenue of RMB9.876 billion for 2025, Gasgoo reported, and it has applied for a Hong Kong listing.

Most of Qianli’s installed base sits in Geely-group brands. Yicai reported that Qianli and Volvo will jointly develop a high-level driving system based on Qianli’s stack, with the Volvo models due in mass production in the first half of 2027. That program, and whether brands outside the Geely family adopt Qianli Haohan, will show if the company can grow as an independent supplier rather than as an extension of one carmaker.
