AgiBot Declares 2026 “Deployment Year One” — Unveils 5 New Robots and 8 Foundation Models

Shanghai-based robotics leader AgiBot has officially declared 2026 as “Deployment Year One” for embodied artificial intelligence, marking a decisive shift from research and prototyping to large-scale commercial application. At the AgiBot Partner Conference (APC) held on April 18, the company unveiled an aggressive product roadmap featuring four new commercial robotic platforms and eight specialized foundation models, signaling its intent to dominate the rapidly expanding physical AI market.

The announcement comes just days after AgiBot achieved a world-first deployment of humanoid robots on a consumer electronics assembly line, underscoring the company’s transition from laboratory demonstrations to factory floor realities.

A Comprehensive Hardware Portfolio

The hardware rollout represents one of the most comprehensive product lines in the embodied AI sector to date. AgiBot introduced four distinct robotic platforms designed for specific commercial environments, alongside a new data collection system:

  1. AGIBOT A3: A “Silicon-based Stage Star” humanoid robot designed for interactive environments. Standing 173 cm tall and weighing 55 kg, it features a 10-hour endurance, 10-second battery swap, and advanced UWB swarm positioning for synchronized multi-robot performances.

2. AGIBOT G2 Air: A lightweight, highly agile single-arm mobile manipulator designed for human-in-the-loop operations in retail, hospitality, and logistics. It operates in sub-800 mm spaces with zero-radius turning.

3. OmniHand 3 Ultra-T: The flagship of the new Omni 3 series, delivering human-level dexterity with a 22+3 DOF tendon-driven system and full-hand 3D tactile sensing. The series also includes the industrial-grade OmniPicker 3 gripper and the ruggedized OmniHand 3 Lite.

4. D2 Max: Billed as the world’s first all-terrain Level 3 autonomous quadruped robot, designed for mission-critical scenarios like security patrol, industrial inspection, and emergency rescue.

5. MEgo: A body-free data collection system that allows human operators to capture synchronized vision, motion, and tactile data across real-world environments without relying on robotic hardware.

“Embodied intelligence is no longer a concept, it is becoming a new form of productive infrastructure,” said Peng Zhihui, founder and CEO of AgiBot, during the keynote presentation. “We are moving embodied intelligence from laboratory curiosity to production-line reality.”

The Eight Foundation Models of Embodied AI

Hardware is only half of the equation. AgiBot’s most significant technological reveal was its suite of eight foundation models, organized under a “One Robotic Body, Three Intelligences” architecture. These models are designed to handle the complex cognitive and physical tasks required for autonomous operation.

Locomotion Intelligence:

•BFM (Behavioral Foundation Model): Teaches robots to imitate human movements instantly from a single demonstration or short video.

•GO-2 (ViLLA Embodied Foundation Model): Bridges planning and execution with Action Chain-of-Thought for consistent long-horizon task performance.

•GE-2 (World Action Model): Creates interactive virtual worlds for safe, high-speed strategy testing.

•Genie Sim 3.0: A simulation platform that uses natural language to instantly generate digital twins for rapid training and sim-to-real transfer.

•SOP (Real-World Distributed Online Learning System): Allows deployed robot fleets to learn continuously from real operations.

Interactive Intelligence:

•WITA Omni: The industry’s first robot-native end-to-end multimodal interaction model, fusing vision, audio, language, and action for emotionally intelligent responses.

Accelerating the Era of Physical AI Productivity

AgiBot’s aggressive product launch reflects a broader acceleration within China’s robotics sector. Driven by demographic pressures, rising labor costs, and strong state support, Chinese companies are racing to commercialize embodied AI. The recent $455 million funding round for TARS highlights the massive capital flowing into the space.

The “Deployment Year One” strategy is explicitly focused on B2B applications. By developing these models in-house, AgiBot is attempting to build a vertically integrated ecosystem, reducing reliance on third-party AI providers and ensuring tight coupling between software intelligence and hardware execution.
